Sacred Sisterhood in Venice: Holding Space with La DoubleJ at Aman

There’s a silent beauty in the moments before a breathwork session begins — an invisible architecture built not just of intention, but of presence.

Recently, I had the honor of holding space for the radiant sisterhood brought together by La DoubleJ and Mytheresa.com at the serene and storied Aman Venice. While guests arrived and settled into the palazzo’s timeless stillness, my own preparation had already begun — long before the first breath was taken.

Each gesture, each pause, each heightened perception is part of a personal ritual. I begin by anchoring the space — energetically and emotionally — tuning into the subtleties of the room, its history, the people who will soon enter it, and the moment that’s about to unfold.

From the choice of scent to the quality of light, from the rhythm of sound to the state of my own nervous system, everything is curated to support a safe and expansive experience. What participants may not see is that the “container” for the journey begins forming as soon as the idea is conceived. It’s shaped by intention, refined by energy, and rooted in deep listening.

For those who are new to breathwork, this is the invisible framework that holds the practice: a quiet magic that makes transformation possible. It’s not just about guiding breath — it’s about crafting an atmosphere where people can feel truly safe to explore, release, and reconnect.

Behind every session is this deep preparation — not to perform, but to receive each person fully. Because the work begins before the first breath — and continues long after the last exhale.
